Receive $21 Billion For HIT Incentive Programs
CMS awarded $21.495 billion in matching funds to a
total of 18 states to begin HIT adoption.
The grants will cover five years of a Medicaid
incentive program to install HIT, and mark a second round joining a
previous eight states in efforts to implement HIT according to federal
requirements.
The states receiving funds are:
- Alabama – $269,000
- Alaska – $900,000
- Arizona – $2.89 million
- Arkansas – $815,000
- Florida – $1.69 million
- Kansas – $1.70 million
- Kentucky – $2.60 million
- Illinois – $2.18 million
- Maine – $1.40 million
- Michigan – $1.52 million
- Nebraska – $894,000
- Oklahoma – $587,000
- Pennsylvania – $1.42 million
- South Carolina – $1.48 million
- Tennessee – $2.7 million
- Vermont – $294,000
- Virginia – $1.66 million
- Wisconsin – $1.37 million
